● HOSPITAL HUBS

A ReSpawn Point is a dedicated adaptive gaming program integrated into a hospital’s clinical structure. It’s not a standalone amenity, it’s a coordinated program with trained staff, adaptive hardware configured to patient needs, clinical documentation, and a data pipeline feeding into the national registry.

Each site is built around the hospital’s patient population and workflow, but follow ReSpawn’s framework and data standards. We work with each partner to scope the implementation.

CURRICULUM

Clinician Training

A training program built for therapists & staff working in rehabilitation settings, designed to give clinicians the framework, knowledge, and practical skills to integrate adaptive gaming into patient care.

Curriculum Overview

Foundations of Adaptive Gaming

What adaptive gaming is, why it matters clinically, the landscape of adaptive hardware and software, and the populations most affected by standard controller inaccessibility. Introduces the Player Experience Framework.

Understanding Games as a Clinician

Game genres, control demands, and breaking down games to requirements across different game types. Builds the game literacy clinicians need to assess a patient and identify viable pathways back to gaming.

Adaptive Equipment & Solutions

Hubs, switches, joysticks, alternative controllers, simple modifications, and accessibility features & settings. Introduction to the most prominent and useful tools & technologies in adaptive gaming.

Integration into Rehab Practice

How to approach different patients, games, and equipment. Documentation, what to and how to document. Putting it all together and making sense of adaptive gaming in clinical practice.

EVIDENCE

Building the Clinical Registry

Adaptive gaming have been practiced informally for years, but without standardized data collection, outcomes measurement, or a shared schema across sites. It’s been impossible to build an evidence base.

The registry changes that by embedding a standardized data schema inside every ReSpawn Point, we collect consistent, HIPAA-compliant outcomes data across all partner sites, creating the multi-site dataset that research requires.

Registry Overview

Multi-Site By Design

Built from the start for multiple contributing hospitals, not retrofitted from a single-site tool.

Standardized variables across all sites

Captures outcomes across domains that track why patients engage with gaming.

HIPAA-compliant infrastructure

Patient privacy and data security standards.

PARTNER WITH US

Bring a ReSpawn Point to your hospital.

We're actively building the ReSpawn Point network and welcome inquiries from hospitals. We're happy to walk you through what a partnership looks like, what implementation involves, and how your site would contribute to and benefit from the national registry.
